Scripture:
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7
When Fear Shows Up
Fear doesn’t always come loudly.
Sometimes it comes as worry.
Sometimes as restlessness.
Sometimes as sleepless nights and overthinking.
In a world filled with uncertainty, fear can easily take control — but as believers, we are not meant to live ruled by fear.
Faith Is Not the Absence of Fear
Having faith does not mean you never feel afraid.
It means you choose to trust God even when fear tries to speak louder.
Faith says:
God is present
God is in control
God’s peace is available now.
How to Stay Calm in Chaos
1. Pause and Pray
Before reacting, pause. Speak to God, even if your prayer is short:
“Lord, I trust You.”
2. Anchor Yourself in Scripture
God’s Word brings clarity when emotions feel overwhelming.
Read verses that speak peace and strength.
3. Breathe and Release Control
You are not meant to carry everything alone.
Release what you cannot control into God’s hands.
4. Remember God’s Past Faithfulness
If God has helped you before, He will help you again.
Choose Faith Daily
Fear may knock, but you don’t have to open the door.
Each day is an opportunity to choose faith over fear.
Prayer
Lord, I give You every fear, worry, and anxious thought.
Fill my heart with Your peace and help me trust You fully.
Amen.
